Is this real life?

florida

It’s time for Penn State’s spring break! My mom and I are going to Tampa for a few days. I feel so blessed! The weather is going to be okay (60s), but it’s better than Pittsburgh’s current weather (20s). I’m so excited to explore the area and spend time with my mom.

I just have to get through the flight. I would really, really appreciate prayers…

Flying is my biggest fear.

It’s important to step outside of my comfort zone though! I’ll be knocking two resolutions off of my list for 2013 (travel more and do scary things).

What is your biggest fear?

P.S. Do you like the new header?!

Girly, you can do it. I remember flying for the first time and being a little anxious, really it’s a lot to remember so that’s good that at least you have your mom with you. Tampa is really nice- we went there to leave for our cruise and saw the Bucc’s stadium and Ybor City, really cool. I hope you have fun and can’t wait to see pics :).

Have a great time in Tampa! You’ll probably come back to a nice package waiting for you ;-) I would definitely love to go somewhere warm right now! You’re so lucky. You’ll be fine flying, I promise! And I love the new header! I keep trying to screw around with HTML/blog layouts because I used to be really good at it but I lost my touch haha!

Have so much fun! I’m going in a couple weeks and I cannot wait. Your spring break is early :)
    Love the new header!

  5. Hope you have a great time in Florida! Try not to worry! Flying is one of the safest methods of transportation! I do have my own fears… spiders in every size, and steep cliffs.. irrational thoughts, as if I would place myself at a cliff.. silly!

Have a great time in FL, Allie! I wish I was there right now; the snow in PA is getting old! And I agree with the comment above; flying is by far one of the safest methods of transportation. Last time I flew, I sat near an older woman who was probably in her 60s and it was her first time flying as well. She had been afraid to fly all these years, but finally decided to conquer her fears. When the plane landed, she said she actually had a fun time flying! I’m sure you will do great :)

  7. LOVE the new header! And wishing you a safe flight! Hope you have a great break! You totally deserve it!

  8. I love the new header!

Also, I always say that facing fears and going outside of your comfort zone is very important! Although, now that I’m doing it myself, I’m singing a slightly different tune… :P

  9. Brittany says:

I hope the flight went well, I don’t mind flying but it’s not my favorite! Have a great time. I’d take 60 degrees right now!

  10. Ellie says:

The first [and only] time I flew was to Florida. Seeing the clouds as the plane rose was AWESOME! I took pictures and the fears went away :)

  11. Hollie says:

Good luck with your flight. As someone dating a pilot I feel like I should enjoy flying but I def don’t like it at all. Have a great Spring Break Allie!

  12. P says:

You will be totally fine :)!!!
Florida for spring break sounds like so much fun :D!

  13. You will be fine girl! Flying is amazing and its safer than driving in a car :) Enjoy your time off! I am so jealous that your spring break is so early!!! I have to wait till April 28th!!!

  14. Nicole says:

Love the new header!!! :) And have FUN in Florida!! I’m not a huge fan of flying either, but you can totally do it! (And it will be so worth it too).

  15. B says:

Have a great trip! I’m sure the flight will be fine!

  16. Corrie Anne says:

SNAKES! But I’m also afraid of airplane bathrooms. Haha. So weird. Have fun!
